A quick tip to make your manicure last

Trying to save money by doing your manicure yourself, but frustrated by how quickly it starts chipping?

Well, from glamour.com, here’s a great tip, courtesy of nail expert Jin Soon.  You’ve probably noticed how long your manicurist spends getting your old nail polish off, and that sometimes they use polish remover even if your nails are bare.

At the time, you probably thought that they were just being thorough, but in fact, according to Soon, that’s a crucial step.  The alcohol in the polish remover also takes any oil off your nails, which could make your nail color more likely to chip.

According to Soon, a simple swipe isn’t enough- make sure you really work it to make sure you get your nails very dry (as opposed to oily).  Combining oil free nails and a simple topcoat, your mani should be ready to go for roughly a week!

So next time, try this tip, and let us know how it goes!
