Of course, the Oscars are mostly about recognizing talent in the film industry, but let’s be honest, checking out everyone’s attire, hair and makeup are one of the most fun parts of the evening.

So, we’re here to collect some leading publications’ lists of the best (and 1 worst) hair and makeup looks.  We checked out Glamour.com, Elle.com and HuffingtonPost.com to see who they thought looked excellent, and in the case of HuffingtonPost, who missed the mark.

Kerry Washington, obviously looked Amazing, as she made all 3 best lists with her dark lips, contoured cheeks and wavy half down/half up hairstyle.

Lupita Nyong’o, in addition to her Oscar win also made the best list for Glamour and Elle, while Margot Robbie and Olivia Wilde earned places with Glamour and the Huffington Post. 

Elle and the Huffington Post both selected Cate Blanchett and Jared Leto for their top lists, while both Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Watson had the odd distinction of making the favorite lists for Glamour and Elle, AND making the Huffington Post’s worst list.
