Have you heard of the sock bun?  Some of you may have been using it for years to achieve that effortless, chic look, while others of you may just now be hearing about it.  If however, this is all new to you, here’s what you need to know:

The sock bun is pretty much what it sounds like, but don’t worry, the sock isn’t visible.  To achieve the look, you simply cut the toe off of a sock to leave a long tube.  You can use any type of sock, but usually longer ones work better.  You then roll the sock into a donut, which will help shape your bun.  From there, you simply wrap your hair around the sock donut.
