New Nail Trends for 2013

Are you looking for new ways to paint your nails in 2013?  Here are some predictions from Harper’s Bazaar and leading fashion designers for what will be the hottest nail trends in 2013.  The best part is that there are so many options to choose from, that regardless of your personal style, there’s sure to be 1 or 2 that you love.

  • Nude Nails- This a trend carrying over from 2012, but it’s still a great, no fuss, chic option that you can play any way you want!
  • Pale Nails- A spin on the nude nail, choosing a cream or off-white color is a another way to keep your mani low-key, and a good choice if you like the look of a the nude nail but want to try something new
  • Deep, Dark Nails- the Spring fashion shows saw plenty of models rocking dark shades like navy, violet, grey and black are still dynamic and a great way to create drama
  • More Metallics- another trend hanging on from 2012, metallics are fun and flashy and can complement any skin tone with choices in gold, silver, copper and more, and if you aren’t ready to go with a full metallic mani, you choose to just glam up 1 or 2 nails.  Another hot trend is to keep your metallic to shapes or stripes, paired with other colors.
  • Twice the tones= twice the fun- 2 toned manicures come in a variety of shapes and combinations.  Think of it as an update to a classic French, you can create half-moons, V-shapes, diagonal strips, vertical halves and more!
  • Livin on the edge- another huge trend at the Spring shows were edgy nails- whether they were meant to look like dripping blood, cages, or shark bites, these were another great way to add drama to your nails.

So which of these trends are you just itching to try?
