Ah, the day after awards show… filled with ‘best of’ lists and plenty of ways to distract yourself all over the internet.  Well, after scouring a dozen lists or so, there were a couple of ladies who seemed to wow universally.

These ladies all went with long gowns, which makes sense, it is January.  But from there, they chose a variety of looks, from up-dos and keeping their hair down, to single colored gowns, and ones with layers, there was a lot to see and plenty of styles to choose your favorite from.

Here are some of the ladies who seemed to be on everyone’s best dressed list.

Anne Hathaway- was a vision of stunning simplicity.  Her short hair look chic and slick, and her dress was minimal, but absolutely gorgeous and flattering, a Chanel with beading and peplum.

Claire Danes- we don’t know about you, but we can’t believe this woman just had a baby.  She looks amazing in this red dress with a slight wrap detail that shows off her stunning figure, and complements her blonde locks beautifully.

Jennifer Lawrence- another leading lady who let her natural beauty and gorgeous dress speak for themselves.  Her silver belt helped cinch her silhouette, and her full skirt made her waist look even smaller!  The mango color also looked fantastic with her glowing tan!

Kerry Washington- is known for rocking the red carpet.  This dress is one of the more unique ones from last night, but we love it!  She pulled off the perfect combination of sexy and sophisticated with a long layer over a deep neckline and short skirt. 

Taylor Swift- Taylor was one of the few starlets we saw rocking an up-do, but she pulled it off beautifully.  We love this dress from the front and the back, with its gorgeous purple hue, and chic cut.  While we think she almost always looks good, we love this more mature and elegant look on her.

While the gowns ran the gamut, one of the overall trends that we loved was keeping hair and makeup simple, and that’s one that we won’t mind embracing in 2013!
