On Sunday night, the 54th annual Grammy Awards took place.  There were plenty of amazing performances, including a tribute to the late Whitney Houston, and of course a variety of wonderful outfits and hairstyles (and of course some not so wonderful, but we won't dwell on those). 
Here are some of our favorites:

We loved Kate Beckinsale’s polished, wavy ponytail.  She kept plenty of volume and texture in a style that is certainly red-carpet worthy, but not too stuffy, and we love the result.

Alicia Keys also had a great up-do, finishing off a great, perfectly polished look, with just a touch of 80s flair.  Her style definitely stood out in the best possible way, despite the prevalence of stars sporting elaborate up-dos.

One star who opted for a more relaxed, natural look was Miranda Lambert, who wore her hair in loose waves.  Her hair perfectly complemented her angelic neutral toned dress.

The best thing about all of these styles, is that they all looked beautiful and allowed every celebrity to express herself and complement their ensembles instead of feeling boxed in.
