Did you watch the Grammy’s on Sunday?  Despite the new dress “guidelines” there were still plenty of beautiful dresses, hairstyles, and make-up, and some that weren’t so beautiful….

To those of us who have never been on a red carpet, it can get hard to imagine how any of these celebs with their stylists, hair stylists, make-up artists and more could ever look less than perfect, but then we also hold them to the highest beauty standards.

This time around, some of our awards show veterans brought their standard grace and beauty and looked fabulous, while some others missed the mark just a little bit.  Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez made everyone’s ‘best’ list like they almost always do, while other usually fabulous stars like Katy Perry, and Faith Hill went a little too plain.

It’s pretty easy to decide when someone obviously looks great or a little bit off, but it’s most interesting when people disagree about whether a look is fab or drab- like Taylor Swift.  Glamour, US Weekly and plenty of others loved her braids and bangs combo, while other sites like Huffingtpost thought the look was too immature.  Adele went for a non-traditional dress and while some loved her signature statement making eyelashes, other thought she looked too severe.
