End of Summer Hair Repair

With Labor Day weekend coming up, Summer is starting to wind down and it might be time to finally deal with all of the damage that the sun, chlorine, seawater and heat have done over the past few months.
While you might be tempted to just let your hair problems grow out, the last thing you want to do is carry over your damage from one season to the potential problems of the next.  But you also might be wondering if there’s anything you even can do for your hair after subjecting it to weeks of torture.

We have good news- from Allure.com and their hair expert Chris Lospalluto, here are fixes for some of your Summer hair’s biggest issues:
1. The chlorine fix: Before you whip up a magical batch of DIY chlorine remover at home, Lospalluto urges you to think again. "In terms of chlorine, I always recommend seeking professional help," he says.
2. The dry-hair fix: Whether you swim in the ocean, lake, or pool, or even just spend hours outside at a daytime cookout, water and sun don't always play nice with your hair. Enter: the hair mask. But in lieu of reaching for a traditional creamy conditioner, Lospalluto advises trying a deep-penetrating hair oil, like the classic VO5 Hot Oil Treatment. (Argan oil will work as well.) Start by applying a little bit to the ends so as not to weigh the hair down, then add more to the rest of your strands as needed.
3. The haircut fix: The easiest way to kick frayed, moisture-depleted ends to the curb? Get a haircut. It's as simple as that.

We hope that these tips will help you get your hair back on track to look fabulous in Fall!
