The Best Swimsuit for your Body Type

With just a few more weeks before we really get into swimsuit season, you might be looking for your perfect suit for this year.

If you’ve struggled with finding bathing suits that look good on you, we have some suggestions to help you flaunt your assets and camouflage any areas you might not be ready to show off.

Athletic Thighs: Look for suits with a higher rise- think about an inch below your belly button, and look for bright colors to draw attention to your smaller waist, instead of your thighs.  If you prefer a one piece style, look for color-blocked paneling.

Booty: If you’ve been blessed with a bodacious booty, you know that you need a suit with extra coverage.  But you don’t want to look frumpy on the beach, so pair a high-waisted bottom with a daring top.  This will keep the attention on your top half, as well supporting your derriere.  Dark colors and ruching are other great ways to minimize your hips and bum.

Small up Top: If you don’t have a large cup size, and want to create the look of a fuller chest, look for ruffles and other embellishments, like horizontal stripes.  A sweetheart neckline is also the most bust enhancing neckline, so look for that top shape.

Curves Galore: If you’re a curvy girl, swimsuit shopping can be difficult, so look for conservative shaped suits that provide coverage AND fun details.  Like a one piece suit, with a crocheted midriff, that allows for some fun sex appeal.  Cutouts and wrapped styles are also figure flattering, and you can look for a suit with cutouts or a tankini to show a little more skin.

Busty: If you’re larger on top, you need to make sure your swimsuit top has a lot of support.  An underwire can be a good way to make sure your girls get the lift they need.  Combining that underwire with an adjustable triangle top, is great for keeping you comfortable.  When it comes to choosing your bottom, you might choose to draw attention to your bottom with bright colors, patterns, and accents to show off your legs, and draw attention away from your chest.

We hope that these tips help you pick a suit that lets you have tons of fun in the sun and to feel great about your body!
